Greetings. My name is Joff. I’m a musician, composer, professional daydreamer, and passionate advocate of the arts.

I'm a founding member of the progressive rock band Sanguine Hum, although these days, I'm just as happy working in my studio composing music for video games.

Most recently, I spent more than three years composing and implementing the score for Arctic Awakening, which was longlisted for the 2026 World Soundtrack Awards Game Music Award.

I specialise in writing music for narrative-driven games, creating soundtracks that support atmospheric worldbuilding and designing adaptive music systems to help developers use music as a narrative device rather than just a finishing layer.

I've played music since age six and studied composition for Film & TV, Orchestration and World Music with Berklee.

In the unique adventure game that is my life, my advanced skill tree is music. But I also have the minor powers of soldering, building studio gear and carpentry 💪🏼

I dream of sailing a boat around the world, but the ocean scares me - confusing, I know! But that's cognitive dissonance for you!
